DJ Mirage has been a long-time purveyor of Hip Hop. Starting back in 1983, his passion for the Electro Funk sound in particular, and that of Breakdance, Graffitti, and the overall vibe that encompassed the early B-Boy culture would see him eventually rise to becoming one of the masters of the sound, going on to release on labels such as Streetsounds; where he did the mastermixes for both Nu Electro Vol. 2 and 3. He would also get signed to German digital powerhouse Battery Park Studio, as well as Greek imprint Binalog Productions, not to mention collaborating on labels like Electro Avenue Records, who would bring in DJ Mirage because of his skill in cuts and scratches.
This month he prepares a fascinating ride, exclusively for TechnoBass, showcasing the eclectic aspect of what people commonly refer to as Electro. Here, DJ Mirage will take you back to the roots of our sound, and catapult you to the eventual evolution as the sound morphed into the Electro/Techno Bass style.
