Zero One Music hits hard with its second release of 2017! The Miami Bas(s)ed label stares this month at the United Kingdom to deliver an amazing, pounding EP from Nexus 23 titled "Weapons Of Mass Distraction"; fueled with Industrial sororities in the great tradition of Will Web and Dynamix II's imprint.
Hailing from London, real name Joe Black is not a newcomer on the Electro scene thanks to remarkable releases tinted with old school references on structures such as Borg Recordings, Biotech Recordings and Bass Agenda Recordings since 2014. Today, the replicant strikes back on a mission to put you in a circle with four dancefloor tunes of high caliber.
Organic, even liquid sororities set the inaugural cut with Electro-Funk "Frippery When Wet", while an irresistible breakbeat rhythm leads you into a state of trance. This jam is no joke and will embark you on a dance battle!
Futuristic "Time Lapse" coming next offers a fanstatic mash up of droid sounds, tribal percussions, evanescent vocals and distorted noises commanding you to move like a robot on the floor. Ace!
Things go darker with deep "Gargoyle". After a short introduction made of Sci-Fi FX, the song serves up brilliant atmospheric melodies, but the track progressively turns into an evil slaughter thanks to astonishing Ravey modulations over intricate robotic vocals.
As a conclusion, final cut "Method Of Execution" and its epic drums bring us back into time, around the mid 90's; an era ruled by the Hardcore and D&B underground sound of UK.
Inspired and rough without being too agressive, this digital pack following "Disco From USSR" by Dr Floyd last month, signs another must have EP from Nexus 23! Support by purchasing below.
