Lok44 - Bous

Get ready for another top notch Electro/Techno release, signing the great return of Daniel Lodig on DJ Glow's TRUST! Four deep and crafty cuts propelled by classic drum machine sounds and 4/4 reminiscences, without losing their subtle touch.

On the A side, "Roll The Ugliness" introduces a moody piece of funk made of Techno beats tinted with Electro colors. The tune blends the right amount of heading modulations and synth flights with yearning, melancholic melodies. Ace!

Created on soulful analog gears, classy "Floaters", instantly following, serves up an hypnotic cut enhanced by bleepy tones over sketchy Detroitish lines. Timeless and inspirational at the same.

On the flipside, relaxing "Wryy" slows down the rhythm to explore unknown introspective territories, while urban "By Night" brings up the rear on an epic final based upon a noir atmosphere and some groovy tones. The way the artist manipulates his synths and builds his tracks sounds quite unique!

Lok44, a regular signature of the Vienna label, has been making waves with his productions for more than a decade now. His own blend of hardware basslines and tweaked out electronics with slow and doomy rhythms over all things analogue, is really an original sound.

Limited "Bous" celebrates the great come back on TRUST of Lok44 after two successful EP's, "Ghetto Of The Mind" and "Derailed" more than ten years ago, plus a couple of contributions to the label since 2012. Hope we won't have to wait a decade more to get a follow up :)
