DJ Eric Emz | February 2011 Feature

Eric M. ( aka Eric Emz ) started out young with a strong musical influence from early punk and new wave. Groups like The Sex Pistols, The Misfits, The Smiths and The Cure were all big parts of his upbringing. As his musical taste progressed, exposure to Hip-Hop and Miami bass soon followed a few years later. Then, in 1996, Emz was officially introduced to Electronic Music, after he started recording live DJ sets from a local college radio station; which frequently played Techno and House. Soon after, he submerged himself deep in the art of B-boying, and art of performing and battling in front of crowds, and at competitions.

After spending a few years refining his DJing skills, this Texas native has now been rockin' dancefloors since the year 2000, with his signature Breaks and Electro from as far North as NYC, to the Southern State of Texas, and Florida. His distinct style of Breakbeats has made him a Richmond, Virginia favorite for bringin' it most proper no matter what the venue or crowd type! This month, DJ Eric Emz has put together a profound, yet funky mix for our monthly Technobass.net feature series, which cannot be missed!
